Thursday, 15 March, 2001, 16:55 GMT Constand Viljoen to leave SA parliament The leader of a white minority party devoted to promoting Afrikaner values and aspirations in South Africa says he's retiring from parliament. General Constand Viljoen told the national assembly in Cape Town that he had grown frustrated with working as a minority leader in a parliament dominated by the governing African National Congress. Mr Viljoen, who campaigned for an Afrikaner homeland to be created in South Africa, said he hoped his party, the Freedom Front, would continue as a constructive opposition group.
