Volkstaat

Volkstaat (Afrikaans for "People's state") is a proposal for the establishment of a homeland for Afrikaners. Outside a possible use of force, the South African Constitution and International Legislation present certain possibilities for the establishment of such a state. The South African regime declared that they would not support a Volkstaat, but "would do everything they could to ensure the protection of the Afrikaner language and culture". What a fine job they are doing.

The Volkstaatraad is for sale

Don't get excited. The Volkstaatraad (Volkstaat Council) is long dead. The domain name is not. And you can buy it.

Somebody in Australia has put up one of those really meaningless placeholder pages up on it. Waste some bandwidth if you want to peruse it:

The name belongs to ThePlanet.com Internet Services. Their address is 1/298 Casuarina Drive, Nightcliff, NT 0810, Australia. They are hoping that somebody will offer them money for it:

The name previously belonged to M-Web. I wonder how it ended up in Australia...
